It's an old joke; there's a Futurama episode where Leela tells Fry he can't sit around all day listening to "classical music" (it's something like the Beastie Boys).

I giggled more at what they thought the Jukebox was.

In an early Red Dwarf episode, Rimmer tells Lister that he should listed to some classical music, like Mozart, Mendelson , or Motorhead.
