Failed Enterprise

The fourth season of Enterprise will be its last.Of course, four seasons is a healthy run for any show these days, but it does mark Paramount breaking its "Seven Seasons" Star Trek habit, for better or worse.

Me, I'm still amused that Linda Park is in the series.  But then, I only noticed her last week.

D'oh

So I spent about a half day working on a database editing page, when I needed to make a change to the basic structure of the table and decided to install phpMyAdmin.

It wasn't that I'd forgotten you could edit table contents as well as structure using that, just that I'd got into the habit of designing a site editor when working with clients...

Cartooning update

Have just hit upon a way to perhaps improve the lettering process.  If I do all the image editing I want to do in Photoshop, then place the image in Illustrator and work on the speech, and then - instead of opening the image in PS and copying the speech bubbles over - open the Illustrator file in Photoshop, it'll rasterise it to a flat image of the right dimensions.  The text stays in an editable format, there doesn't seem to be a downside.  Theoretically, if I make changes to the PSD later it'll stay linked so I'll just have to open the AI again...
