Weekend plans
Jun. 17th, 2004 03:18 pmBloke in office is selling his Clié (model NX73); apparently he's using it less now he has a laptop. Only £150, cheap at half the price. Sorely tempted; his girlfriend has first refusal, so it might not be an issue, but if she doesn't want it then I may well be unable to turn it down. It's so shiny.
I'm looking forward to the weekend, worrying less now I've reminded myself that it's mostly
bacony's stuff we have to worry about. I've got plenty of time to move my stuff, either to Ilkley or to
stsquad's place the weekend after. As long as we get the stuff done that needs trailers and extra hands, I'll be sorted.
So, plan for the weekened:
Friday evening - pack some stuff in boxes. Dance, while Katy tries to get her entire life in boxes. Possibly help.
Saturday morning - take first load of boxes over to Alex's in car, where we meet the gorgeous
spodula with his trailer. Empty Alex's basement into the trailer. Take trailer to tip, empty trailer. Take trailer to our house in Levenshulme, fill trailer. Go to Alex's house, empty trailer. Repeat to fade. At some point
ghostbritain arrives to help, because he feels obliged after I helped him move. This gives us three big men and one dainty woman, should be plenty for the lifting and carrying of sofas and TVs etc.
Saturday evening - head over to
zheers's place some time after 6 (unless moving finishes earlier), but before 7.30 (when the coach - coach! - leaves for Leeds). Hopefully moving will be complete by then. If not, Katy, Nook and Scousey can continue by themselves, hee hee.
Saturday/Sunday - become outrageously drunk. Try to get into pants of far too many good friends. Proceed as and when.
I'm sure most people would be welcome to the party, but I understand space in the coach is limited so you'd have to make your own way to Leeds. See recent entries for details. Also contact
zheers, it's his party and I don't want to accidentaly invite anyone he hates.

Come on, link me a review or a spec or something for your iPAQ ... the word "ipaq" picks up 5,760,000 results on Google and I don't know which model I'm looking for.

Anyway I'm not trying to bias you, it just seems the Clie is a little old/under speced to something I paid the same price for brand new a couple of months ago.

Date: 2004-06-17 08:05 am (UTC)The attractive features about the Clie are (1) It's here, I can feel it in my hand, and (2) Keyboard. Also, in case I didn't mention it before, (3) looks so cool.
