1. Do you see your life as turning out as you expected it when you were a kid.
No, because when I was a kid I genuinely expected to become involved in some zany science-fiction adventure. Not many people know this, but I went through a phase where I left my Transformers comic open on the page where all the Autobots introduced themselves in turn, just in case the comic was struck by lightning or cosmic rays and brought to life. I don't think I thought it would actually happen but what if it did and there were some Decepticons on that page? That did not bear thinking about. Yeah, I think it would be safe to describe that as my "fantasy world" phase.
Later, when I developed more realistic expectations, I decided I would move to America and become a famous comic book artist. I do not see that happening, because I don't want to leave the Greater Manchester area. Artist is still on the cards though, people keep paying me to do art (note to Inland Revenue: NO THEY DON'T).
When payment for my book work arrives, I shall post an Amazon link so everybody can buy it. But not before...
2. What's the best thing you ever bought
Currently I am well pleased with my Game Boy Advance SP. It is so very cool. It folds down like a tricorder! It has a built-in rechargable power supply (no more fiddling around with batteries)! IT'S JUST COOL.
Ever, though? I am tempted to say
bacony. She was a very good buy, but she is slowly buying herself back, so I don't think she counts. In terms of life-changiness I think I am going to have to say my PC. Because it lets me colour my pictures and communicate with people, and it lasted me for a good few years. Almost a decade, I think (though there's an element of Trigger's Brush there). I might have to buy a new one soon, though, because I'm not sure how expandable it is for modern parts ... if I get a modern processor I'll likely need a modern motherboard to go with it, and sometimes you need a modern case to go with the motherboard. The drives and cards can probably stay though...
3. We are all aware that everybody loves Andy. IF the Lucille Ball foundation gave you a big bag of cash to film a pilot of "Everybody loves Andy" who would you get, appart from yourself, to play the lovable lead character?
I have been told many of my characters should be played by Richard E Grant, but I don't think he'd work for me as opposed to my characters. I would like to be played by Heath Ledger, But I suspect he may be too good looking and not genial enough.
Thinking about it, I would like to give Johnny Depp a go, because he seems to be a very good actor. I've not seen two parts of his that are remotely similar, so he seems to be capable of actually acting rather than just saying the lines as though he was saying them. Does that make sense? I mean, he plays different parts. George Clooney is always George Clooney with a different hat on, but Johnny Depp is Ichabod Crane, or Captain Jack Sparrow, or that guy in Once Upon A Time In Mexico, or whatever. Yeah, I think he could probably pull me off. Um, as it were.
4. You've just got to level 4, you can boost up one ability by 1. Which one and why?
I'm tempted to say Charisma, because you can never have enough charisma. Yes, everybody already loves Andy, but it's fun to specialise.
Of course, the correct answer is "whichever ability is odd, and will thus increase my ability bonus".
5. If you had the choice of making any book you wanted into a film, which would it be?
I've answered this already, it was probably Return of the Living Dad. Or Damaged Goods. I think I shall settle on Damaged Goods, because Russel T Davies is apparently a guaranteed draw did you know he's going to be writing the new Doctor Who series?

Me me me!!!
Date: 2003-10-02 06:03 am (UTC)Here are 5 questions:
1)In an earlier comment you wrote that you believe that the Bible is a message from the "Almighty" which suggests you believe in the christian God. However, you are spreading the belief that "Everyone Loves Andy". This sounds like you are setting yourself up as an opposing idol. This would break Commandment 1 on the Ten Commandments. So... Are you God? Or do you just follow a personal faith without the restrictions of a dogmarised religion?
2) What's your kingdom like?
3) Are you most like Strong Bad, Strong Mad or Strong Sad?
4) Cats will one day rule the Earth. Discuss.
5) I'ts obvious that I'm no good at html or much computerised stuff yet I still earn a good wage in the IT industry - do you still respect me?<\lj-cut>
