samharber was asking me why I was excited that Bryan Hitch was concept designer for the new Doctor Who series.

I remembered. As well as the Authority, he did an excellent run on JLA with Mark Waid, including the "Id" arc and one of my favourite single issues.

OMG, he did Transformers stuff too!

Other good news from world of comics is that the JH Williams is doing the art for Warren Ellis' new comic Desolation Jones. Yes that's the JH Williams who did the art for Promethea. Mmmmm tasty.

OMG, OMG, OMG, HFS, OMG, so cool. I can see Global Frequency working really, really well as a TV show. Unfortunately I can also see it going down the crapper after twelve episodes. Well, maybe if they push the "24-a-like" angle...

Mark W: Just realised the main implication of this, Brain Hitch design s the Tardis....the man who created The Carrier in the Authority.

Apparently Bryan Hitch used to do artwork for the Dr Who Magazine waaay back when.

Enthusiasm + cool artist = looking good.
