I forgot to mention: Have posted cheque and booking form to Enwoo. Fool that I am. Now I need some way to look egyptian and old. Think I could pull off one of these? Or these? No, the answer is no.
Hee. While I'm not entirely shy about stripping down when appropriate, I don't think it's exactly the place or time - aside from anything else, as an Egyptian living in a library in a cave in Rome for something like 50 years, Hammad is likely to have learned the fine art of dressing warmly.
Also I am pale and slightly flabby. And just self-conscious enough to not want to show my nipples at a masked ball.
I believe following the 631 tribunal it was established that it was permissible to display the left nipple, but only on occasion that a visiting magus were to have forgotten his evening footwear. Further, if such a nipple is displayed, the bearer is bound to submit to a formal nipple count upon quaesitor request.
I'm hoping that my familiarity with the similarly arcane and obscure rules of Mornington Crescent will ease me into the part, especially when backed up with the words "I'll have to check my records, but..."
Well, I'll wait until I get my proper players' pack before I start to worry. TBH I'm more likely to make noncommital noises about checking records than declare the existence of spurious judgements and/or precedents. The important thing is to look like you know what you're doing; if you can fake sincerity then you've got it made.
Firstly, you should specify that you mean the 631 Rome Tribunal, as said ruling was never ratified by Grand Tribunal, and therefore only applies within said Tribunal.
Secondly; there was no tribunal in 631 in Rome; you're 100 years early for the foundation of the order.
Mornington Crescent? I've always found the rules ... simplistic.
If he's living in a cave near Rome perhaps he adopted the Roman style of dress. Wear a toga with the imperial crown. Problem solved.
(Besides, later Egyptians adopted the Roman form of dress when they were - ya know - conquered later. Not to mention there's a lot of ushtabis running around in full length linen toga-like gowns.)
More seriously, if you can find a link to the photo pages for the first event in the NWO series (The Levant) then there are several photos of what the other Egyptian characters wore then. I'd provide a link, but DM's site seems to be somewhat truncated and according to my work computer, the NWO forums are down again.
Roz (westernind) made one of the collars, as did <lj user=delvy) - and Delvy won't be using his at Rome :-)
