bacony is out for the night and your house is on fire, what one thing do you save from the hungry flames?
Ooh. Tricky. One thing, eh? I suppose that's the comic collection out then ... and the TV's a bit heavy. My computer's a bit out of date, not worth rescuing really ... Oh, except it's got a lot of my artwork scanned on it. I could probably do with that. Yes, dull though it is I'd probably save my PC, because while I can buy most things again (things like costume and TVs) it would be hard to replace a lot of the data on there.
That said, if I could rescue two things, the second would be my Bag of Important Things, which contains my passport and driver's licence, among other things.
Hmm. I probably should get insurance. Them flames is hungry.
2. How have comic books influenced your life other than the Teen Titans stance on drugs?
They've given me something to aim for, and kept me drawing. Oh, and sucked a large chunk of money out of my bank account (I spend about 50 quid every three months). It would be nice to think they have encouraged my general sense of morality, though I suppose I tend to pick comics that fit my brain rather than vice versa.
Incidentally, I don't avoid drugs simply because the Teen Titans said so. They just gave me advance warning. I happen to believe that drugs are poison, and if you need drugs to enjoy yourself then you're not really enjoying yourself. And, you know, I have better things to spend my money on. Like broadband, and comic books.
3. Which super hero's alter ego do you most relate to?
The easy answer is Kyle Rayner, because he's an artist. I may also have some similarities with Bart Allen ... no, I'll stick with Rayner. He's also optimistic, upbeat and not easily discouraged. And he has a cool name.
4. You can ask any one question, other than "Why?", and have it answered truthfully by some form of omniscient entity. What is it?
"What?" ha ha ha ha ha. Okay, seriously though. Um.
I think, on balance, I don't much care about the secrets of the universe. There's not much I could do about them anyway. I could ask it "What are next week's lottery numbers?" Because I've always said, if you can get a million in the bank, you can survive forever.
Actually, I'm in two minds. I might ask it "Is there a God?" That would be nice to know. Unless the omniscient entity is, in fact, God. Okay, I'll ask it the second one if it's not God, and the first one if it is.
5. What do you fear the most?
Making the wrong decision. Oh, or car exploding on the motorway. But mostly I fear change.
