Hey kingandy, i sometimes listen to Windows Media Player as well... is a new cd coming out soon? The Passion of The Christ (http://www.ThePassionOfTheChrist.com) is in theaters soon - this week on Wednesday.. what do you think about this movie? I'm going to see it for sure - the trailers (http://www.thepassion.tv) were enough to convince me. I read somewhere that it's the widest opening ever for a subtitled movie; I have a feeling subtitles won't detract from the full effect of this movie though. After looking at the trailers which have no subtitles or english at all, it was reinforced for me that lack of spoken english in this film won't hurt one bit. To sum up my impression of The Passion: it's a work of art. Good Website (http://www.passion-movie.com) Another fascinating aspect to this movie is all the controversy that has been generated about it. Some people, not really representative of Jewish people, but rather self appointed Jewish spokespeople, such as Abraham Foxman from the Anti-Defamation League, seem to have been attempting to denounce this film for months as being anti-Semitic. The news reported that they even stole the script last year! But here's what some Jews say (Jews who don't make it their job to tear apart other people): by Rabbi Daniel Lapin.
Given the way it cunningly empathises with my musical tastes (my LJ client at work apparently can't tell what WMP is singing, so just says "Windows Media Player") and then goes on to talk about something entirely unrelated to the post, I suspect this guy is nothing more than a spambot.
His IP is listed as 217.141.80.3, if anyone who knows about this sort of thing feels like destroying the crap out of him.
Welcome to the wonderful world of journal spam. He may well be posting from some zombied machine somewhere. Let see....
[alex]# nmap -O 217.141.80.3 Starting nmap 3.50 ( http://www.insecure.org/nmap/ ) at 2004-02-22 23:17 UTC Interesting ports on host3-80.pool217141.interbusiness.it (217.141.80.3): (The 1643 ports scanned but not shown below are in state: closed) PORT STATE SERVICE 7/tcp open echo 9/tcp open discard 13/tcp open daytime 17/tcp open qotd 19/tcp open chargen 42/tcp open nameserver 53/tcp open domain 80/tcp open http 139/tcp open netbios-ssn 445/tcp open microsoft-ds 1025/tcp open NFS-or-IIS 1080/tcp open socks 1720/tcp open H.323/Q.931 3006/tcp open deslogind 3372/tcp open msdtc 8080/tcp open http-proxy Device type: general purpose Running: Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME|NT/2K/XP OS details: Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), Windows 2000 Professional or Advanced Server, or Windows XP
So did I, for a crazy moment, until I realised the disconnectedness of the rest of the post. And then I read it more carefully and noticed the part when it asks if there's a new CD out soon.
I'm actually now curious about what happens when it encounters a music entry that has a band and track name in it.
hey kingandy. what's up? Windows Media Player is one of my favs

Nice to see some people speaking rationally.
So what do you think of all this?
