So there's been some debate on the KOTOR boards about whether the words "gay" and "lesbian" exist in Lucas' world.
For what it's worth - I have no problem with the notion that "these are terms that do not exist in Star Wars". I don't have any difficulty accepting a world where people fall in love with whoever they fall in love with, and it's so commonplace that there's no need to give it a name.
Alright, maybe I'm twisting things a bit, but it's a viable defense...

People at work have recently found out that, despite being with Stephen, I still would have to tick "bi" on an "equal opportunities" form (hence it became a topic of conversation). They can't get their head round the fact that I just love people and it doesn't matter what gender they are if they are the sort of person I can fall in love with, it could happen. It shouldn't matter what bits a person has to make them an amazing person who can make you happy. It's society that makes you fit into a "box" category and puts names to it - as far as I'm concerned, love happens. (A nicer version than "shit happens" in my book!)
