I had vague amusement at the claim that this case has "brought to light the limits of DNA evidence". Who would have thought that DNA testing wouldn't be able to discriminate between genetically identical individuals? Shock! Horror!

Pretty much what I thought. The judge should sum up with 'Oh for fucks sake, sort it out' and ask them to stop wasting the courts time.
