I made a page! Read it fast before the Wikipedia hive-mind sucks all the life out of it.

In other news, I missed Life on Mars today, and will continue to miss it for the rest of the series since I'm playing Everway with [livejournal.com profile] maddam on Tuesdays. There does not initially appear to be a repeat showing, and since [livejournal.com profile] stsquad unplugged the VCR as an "obsolete format" I have no way of recording from the telly. This makes me sad.

Oh well! Let's here it for illegal television piracy.

Yes, I also missed it. Dam!

If anyone has a copy that I could borrow that would be great.

Wow, it seems that more people on my flist missed Life On Mars than actually saw it.

And indeed there is deliberately no repeat window, as a condition of the BBC's contract with the program makers. Arguably BBC1 is the repeat, but the first episode isn't multi-channelled.

Last year the Beeb had to pull a planned with-sign-language repeat because it would have broken the terms. I do not know how much the BBC gets out of the Life On Mars Series 2 DVD (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Life-Mars-2-John-Simm/dp/B000JIH6SM/selections0a), but it comes out on April 9th which by my reckoning is the Monday after the last episode airs. That's pretty soon, and it is tempting to just wait for that.

I note that episodes 1 and 2 are available from the usenet newsgroup alt.binaries.multimedia. Oh, and also alt.binaries.british.drama

Further, I believe that Anne no longer needs to borrow a download.

I also note that there's a good chance Anne will be popping around to yours to borrow tools at some point which would be a good point to hand over a copy if we were to have one, which I am of course neither confirming nor denying in this public forum.

Sue, can you play .avi DivX files or would you need this hypothetical disc to be in DVD format?
