Oh, I suppose I should report on last night:

samharber's birthday.

Myself,

bacony and Gordy were first to the pub, which is fair enough since Sam didn't actually advertise a start time. As was reiterated several times during the proceedings, this was not a carefully itinerated Birthday Excursion Extravaganza, this was Sam going pubbing and clubbing on his birthday and letting other people know so that they could turn up and buy him drinks.

After a certain amount of alcohol (Bert introduced me to the idea of Dooley's And Milk, which was nice), we proceeded to Rock Kitchen ("Like Rock World only better and cheaper and betterer") and got drunkerer and hornier.

See, Scousey turned up with a woman, a short redhead by the name of Liz. Apparently this girl reminded

myki of an ex-girlfriend - not, according to

renniek, the short redheaded ex-girlfriend named Liz, but rather somebody referred to as "Psycho Bunny Boiler". (I am assuming this did not mean Liz.) At Rock Kitchen

myki took Liz off to a corner and chatted her up, and then spent the last three hours of the night with his face attached to hers.

Scousey also got chatted up by a tall blond, and Bert seemed to be having considerable luck with a shorter blonde, though she was later seen to be dancing with other people so I'm not sure what happened there.

I spent the evening putting my arm around people and flirting with

stsquad, because it amused me.

On the Gordy front: I think he would have a hard time convincing anyone he travelled up from Birmingham purely to celebrate

samharber's birthday. They barely exchanged words all night (that I noticed). Gordy was not exactly following

bacony around like a sad puppy - he spent some time being alone and forlorn also - but he did bring her (not us) chocolates.
