My Mum has a new computer. It is better than mine, despite being a Dell. I am being sorely tempted.

Raj continues to play up in the radio department. He was so offended by Radio 1 this morning that he just cut the sound for about ten seconds.

The department got chewed out (politely, since we are the most important people in the company) yesterday for attendence, punctuality and time wasting. I do waste a fair amount of time on the intarweb, but since I am almost always in on time and have taken about three days sick in the last year I feel I am winning on points.

Frida
You are Frida Kahlo! You are an artistic,
passionate, vulnerable person, with openly
bisexual tendancies and were the first womyn to
have her own gallery show in Mexico. You slept
with ... Trotsky?

Which Western feminist icon are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

I spent much less time on this quiz than I did on any of the ones involving attractive men ... ahum.

Had "Chateau" running through my head all through last night. It's one of those ones that doesn't naturally end, being composed of an eternal loop and a distinct end sequence (like Clubbed To Death by the same composer, which just goes around and around in the clubby bit until it suddenly switches to the strings/piano bit to wind down, or Battle Without Honor Or Humanity, which could easily just go back to the strumming bass guitar after the final orchestral hit).

Right, let's get that playing again, shall we? Nice.

Of dance music I like to go for trance type mixed with a little funk. Genre's like Acid Hip-hop and Chill Out Trance (rather than Ambient - which is just that). It goes well with coding although occasionally I do find I need leave electronica land and listen to some rock, accoustic or classical music just to blow away the cobwebs.

You may want to have a look at some of my collection in the usuall place (if you can handle ogg files). I think you would like James Zabiela, Nightmares on Wax, and possibly some of the more lively Kruder and Dorfmiester mixes. They are all under the Artists directory.

I'm currently going a little old school and listening to some Leftfield :-)

Sing with me, Andy!
"I've bin to the year treetousand!
No much 'as chained bu' they live unnerwatter!
@n yr grt grt grt grndattur - ismtyfn!"

Oh yes, something I was reading in one of the newspaper-rags that improved my respect for the little furry tykes slightly. Apparently, they grade various places around the world based on which member of the band finds the local women most attractive; whenever you see publicity photos, allegedly, the one at the front is the one getting the most pussy in that locale.

I'm not exactly partial to dance music but even I like Clubbed To Death and some of the stuff that Scouse Wonder and Sam used to play. The issue with placing music in genres is that music is more fluid and often difficult to pinpoint - a bit like what I'm trying to say actually. Whatever - you know what I mean.

Funnily enough the James Zabielia I suggested was introduced to me by Sam. But yes, I know what you mean ;-)

Sorry, random posting in stranger's journal again...

So, if one liked Clubbed to Death, would one like this other stuff? Remember liking music from films (possibly more than I liked the second two films, actually) but only own the first soundtrack. Has he released an album yet, or is it only available on the Matrix soundtracks?

I see your spending restraint is going well :-P I was going to download a few tracks first to check I liked it before I spent money on the CD. Maybe I'll just borrow yours instead ;-)

Oh, you have me convinced - I'll trust your musical taste. Damn Amazon and their ease of puchase ;-) I've ordered the album along with a couple of the DVD's from their DVD sale (Appocoplyse Now Redux and the Bourne Identity in case people want to know - both £7.99 as well).

Aaah - cunning. I have just ordered it (damn, meant to stop buying music until the end of the month). Still, better for bank balance to pay roughly a tenner including postage than over £25 with free postage...ummm...

Thank you for your help. Oh, and thank you for the link to the Very Secret Diaries thing you posted previously. I was sent some in an email shortly after first film came out, but didn't know any more existed. :)

Do you think I should ask Amazon for my commission? I mean thats 3 CD's ordered in less than 2 hours.

I would... :)

Demand at least 10% off all items ordered. They should have a 'recommended by' bit, and people who recommend (and sell) items should get a discount or something, if they manage to sell over X number of products... :)

Damn good idea.

Full of good ideas me apart from why my f*?$£ng code isn't working. Still good to know I have another possible career as an Amazon pimp ;-)

Seeing as we all should get the CD around the same time we can compare notes on our impulse purchases and see if it was worth it. ttfn
