Our house, in the middle of our street

kingandyOoh, new LiveJournal interface. Spaaangly. Except my catlike face now steares at me from the top of each page AAAARGH OH NOES!
My housemate now has a livejournal! I lured her across from Blogspot with the promise of moods, and friends, and comments, and suchlike. bacony. And tomorrow, the world.
In case anyone is worried by her latest entry, I got home safely. My original plan was to head straight home from the pub, I had this notion of walking across to the bus route. However, after the drinking there was the kebab trip, and while I was not exactly hungry I was still eager to be in the company of friends. Then I was in possibly the most awkward place for getting home from (bus-bus or bus-walk or bus-bus-walk or really-long-walk) so I was enticed away to a friend's house who promised tea and company. Then we watched Doctor Who on cable until the wee hours, by which time all the buses had stopped and it was far too late to do anything save inflate the inflatable bed and stay the night.
Inflatable beds are not as good as matresses for sleeping on. I suppose that makes sense, or we would all be using inflatable beds all the time. Oh well, it is late now and my bed calls to me from across the room. I must go and sleep, and then drive to work early in the morning.
My current plan is to wait until November (to get a whole year in one job, for the first time) and then look for work in Manchester. There will be less driving.
