Kit - I'm planning on hiring a dress from the Royal Exchange costume hire department. Want to come along when I do there (if Victoriana is running) and look at the pretty dresses and see if you can find something?

I was going to get a corset from Fern and then make kit around it. When three months later the corset still hadn't been ordered from the wholesaler, I rather gave up on making my own kit...

I am having no luck at all in finding kit my size. Been trying to get Mess Dress from ebay, but seems no fat ex-army people have put anything up for sale, it's all slim people.
Unless one shows up in the next couple of days, I'll probably have to pass =(

I repeat my advice to Bacon - theatre costume hire departments. Hiring kit is the way of the future
