Dither like an idiot
Jun. 8th, 2006 10:59 amContinuing the theme of multiple short posts, I'm currently weighing up whether or not to shell out for
stsquad's PDA. Since it was just lying about gathering dust, he let me borrow it about six months ago and, while I don't consider it a necessity, I do use it a fair amount[1]. It's quicker to start up than my PC, so it's more convenient for quickly checking the email, and it is nice to be able to log into an IM network from my bed.
Last night he drunkenly decided that it was about time he got around to installing Linux on it and that I had 24 hours to decide whether to buy it off him or not. I am, obviously, in two minds. It's a fun toy[2], but £150 is not a small amount of money - even if it is a good deal, which I think it might be. Mmmm, indecision...
[1] This is not such a good thing as might first appear. I have taken to using it in the morning when I really should be getting up. It's surprising how the time flies by when you're surfing the web on a relatively slow wireless palmtop.
[2] And I recently splashed out a whole £20 on a 1GB SD card for it, though obviously SD cards have other uses too.
