The only time I've ever received flowers is when someone has done something SOOOO HORRIBLE to me that they don't dare face me until they have attoned in some way or other - that leads to flowers!
Mind you, I don't mind getting plants in pots (so they're not gonna die) too!
And, I'm not one of those people who won't buy flowers for myself - if I want flowers, I'll damn well buy flowers - why should I wait for anyone to do it for me! :P
