Just a couple of quick stories to fill the afternoon.

Firstly, today was the last edition of Channel 4's early morning magazine show, RI:SE. Despite its bad reputation I've been watching it regularly (for the ten minutes before I leave the house, three days of the week) for a while now. I'm always a fan of TV's Iain Lee, but in the last week or two (since they gave up caring) it really did improve in leaps and bounds. I'll miss it, the other early morning magazine shows are too dull and the proposed replacement (Friends reruns and "reality" shows) will be harder to dip into for ten minutes. Oh well.

In other news: Pope 'has Christ film screening'

"I loved it and it is not anti-Semitic," Father Augustine Di Noia, a senior official in the Vatican's doctrinal department, told Reuters news agency.

Asked if the film was as violent as has been reported, Di Noia said: "It not just violent, it's brutal."

Jim Caviezel, who plays Jesus, was struck by lightning while filming.

One more thing: This is insanely cool. I never thought I would enjoy any kind of media involving counterterrorist action and stuff, but it's pretty and funny and smart. Even though there's only four pages so far. Easily worth the price of admission (nothing save a few minutes of your time).
