Days of Future Past
Mar. 4th, 2006 03:18 pmBeen to town, bought DVDs for tonight. The final selection features:
The Time Machine (the 1960s version - I don't know exactly what years it covers but it apparently includes a romp through the 20th century)
ROCKETSHIP X-M (generally bogus science)
Escape from New York (set in 1997)
Strangedays (1999)
TimeCop (2004)
Transformers: The Movie (2005)
And last but by no means least ... Flash Gordon (because Flash Gordon)
I almost bought Mad Max, but I had more than enough already, and it doesn't have a specific future date anyway (being set "A few years from now" - in fact I think it's one of the movies that started me thinking about how stupid it is to give your near-future movies an absolute date). We probably have too many to get through, but we'll give it the old college try.
