• Also 1987: Gabriel Tyler unwittingly draws the attention of an ancient Gallifreyan time weapon.
• 2005: Rose Tyler leaves London to travel in time (and relative dimensions in space).
• 2006: Sam Tyler inexplicably finds himself in 1973.

What is it about those Tylers?

Probably poor grouting.

Of course 2x11 is going to be by LoM writer Matthew Graham, so perhaps more Tymetravellers will be revealed there?

That's if the constant references to "seems like 1973" and "technically tricky structure of telling the story all from Sam's point of view" don't rule Life On Mars out of the time-travel category.
