Spent some time this morning staring at the cover of JLAvengers #3. I think they were going for ever current and previous member of each team ever, so I was looking for obscure people I know have been in the JLA. I'm pretty sure neither Nuklon nor El Diablo are on there, despite several other members of the Gerard Jones era (including The Yazz!), so they lose points there... and I also noticed that Bloodwynd (Jurgens-era) appears to have done the old scool photo trick of running from one end of the crowd to the other. That can be forgiven, though, since there are multiple versions of other heroes wearing different costumes (featuring Hank Pym as Ant Man, Giant Man, Yellowjacket ... etc).

Plans for the weekend: I have to be in Ilkley for Saturday afternoon to travel down south somewhere for my schoolfriends' Christmas party. This may involve an overnight stop, I'm not sure. The point, though, is that if anybody wants to do something on Friday night I'm available, but if nobody says anything in advance I might spend the night in Yorkshire.

Finally, to Nook: Have you considered implementing a Not Paying Attention Chart?

Well I'm not SoSing as I (was) due to pick up my car on Saturday after working the day. So I'm a little stuck for stuff to do Friday night (after I've been to Gym of course).

Hmmm... well, there is always pub. Alternatively there is houses and beer and DVDs. I still have not seen Eight-Legged Freaks.

If several people are interested, I am willing to run a one-off game of some variety. If I wanted to avoid looking up rules it would have to be something with which I am familiar, possibly Aberrant or Adventure... or Mage, I've got some nice ideas for a Mage game.

Actually, I could run a Matrix game. Using a bastardised Mage system that I pull out my ass as and when. I mean, um, a fully thought-out system that was painstakingly adapted from the Mage rules over a period of months. Yeah. So, if several people show an interest...

pub is probably the easiest and simplest. Running a game would probably run too late for me given I'm working the next day. I've been avoiding 8 legged freaks due to my irrational fear of spiders ;-) Who else is about on a SoS weekend?

I know that ghostbritain and arwel have both sworn off SoS ... don't know if they have other plans though. I know in particular it's icklejo's birthday some time soon. I'm not sure when bacony will be leaving for the back of beyond, she might be around...

Pub of choice is probably the Woodstock as I seem to recall it's equally inconvenient for both of us. At least I can get there by public transport relatively easily, how is it for you? Alternative is of course the Salisbury, or somewhere else near Oxford Road...

I'm off out with work for our Christmas do at Kro2 on friday, where I shall be stuffing myself with food and booze for free. We'll be in the main restaraunt bit so if you go drinking there I can join in too.

Jo is indeed doing birthday things - thanks for reminding me - I'm trying to drag her out on Sat night. Woodstock works for me, they do very nice food... mmmmm
