You know, I think that this closet thing is actually rather large... Either it's not really a closet, more a walk in warehouse, or it is in reality a TARDIS. :)

So, any Dr Who actors come out ever? :)

About the only person I was ever surprised to find out he was gay was Clive Barker. Not sure why it surprised me, it just did. After I thought about it for a while, it made sense of a lot of things but initially I was baffled.

Well John Barrowman is 'openly gay' but that was before he was ever cast as Captain Jack. Other than that, I have no idea. (There's probably a website somewhere...)

Yes, I forgot about him. It is good to have a fairly positive, realistic and not at all camp gay icon openly there on the screen. Even if he is bisexual 'IC' and not gay as he is in real life.

I suppose in a lot of the earlier series it simply wasn't 'done' to declare yourself gay. Especially not on a prewatershed, allegedly children's programme. Though there is a mention of certain activities in the monastry from Tom Baker in his autobiography. Though I can't for the life of me remember whether he took part or merely observed or was merely over exaggerating. :) May have to re-read that to find out now.
