Puter gyp

My internet seems to be kind of screwy right now.  It used to drop every now and then, but now it seems to be just slowing to a crawl (to the point where websites time out and MSN logs out) without actually breaking connection.

I wonder if stsquad is synching his music drive with the office again.

On a related note, does anyone have a five metre ethernet cable lying around?  I fancy trying a direct plug into the router.  Since it's in my room and all.

I have miles of UTP cables, will drop one off at some point

That would be nifty! I don't know if it has to be crossover or patch or whateverthehell.

most routers are clever enough to figure it out, mine does....

Straight-through cables are generally fine.
