I can't help but feel that the section of the jobs paper entitled "Sales & Marketing" is a misnomer.  It's mostly about telesales and recruitment consultants.  I think it should be split into "Sales" and "Marketing", the latter of which would contain actual marketing positions.

Hmm, I went for a job involving 'exhibitions' a long time ago - they were very mysterious about what it involved until I went to an interview/presentation. It was a job selling some £1000 American compressor thing advertised by William Shatner on their promo video. A complete waste of my time :-/

Its pretty much the same when you look at the section marked customer service. What it means is working in a callcentre either taking incoming calls or even worse cold calling someone.

Hooray for the fact that the Coop love me! Well they gave me a job on a fairly dedent wage considering I'm working in the cash office for a supermarket.

You will get a job soon. I also remember that I said that when I have some money that I'd buy a bit of your art work. So umm admittedly it will be december before I have any decent ammount of cash together but will that do. I want a bit of Cartoon artwork please.

No problems I will do.

Andy, you do realise that a lot of us would prefer artwork if given the choice between Artwork and pressies.

But if you go into marketing you'll end up a brain dead crayon eating zombie! I say this with confidence as [livejournal.com profile] ajon is off for another week and a bit and isn't likely to read this and subsequently murderize me.

Oh, and what Mikey said about pictures rather than pressies that money can, in fact, buy.

Wanna bet? And I bought you a honeymoon pressie for being such a good best man. You're in trouble...
