I can't help but feel that the section of the jobs paper entitled "Sales & Marketing" is a misnomer.  It's mostly about telesales and recruitment consultants.  I think it should be split into "Sales" and "Marketing", the latter of which would contain actual marketing positions.

Hmm, I went for a job involving 'exhibitions' a long time ago - they were very mysterious about what it involved until I went to an interview/presentation. It was a job selling some £1000 American compressor thing advertised by William Shatner on their promo video. A complete waste of my time :-/

Yeah, there was a similarly mysteriously advert in the newspapers I bought today (twice, identical) - mentioned something about working in advertising. When I rang them they were exceedingly mysterious (and, notably, said "marketing" instead of advertising). Gave it up as a bad deal...
