Called the AA about the brakes, they said they would send a man.  Spent an hour waiting; the AA then rang to say they would be sending somebody from one of "their" garages instead.

Must be a busy period...

In other news: Last night we watched the Director's Cut of Colin Farrell's cockAlexander.  It was very pretty, though it was laid out very confusingly ("What is this nine years earlier than?  The previous scene, or the last flashback?  Isn't this all told in retrospect anyway?  Oh deary me.") and did go on a bit.  But, on the plus side, very pretty.

I think the AA are great. They've helped me out a couple of times when it would have been a total nightmare otherwise, and the guys have always spotted exactly what the problem is.
