Looks like I have a moment on my hands so I'll write up Maelstrom.

The weekend didn't begin fantastically. Between getting things finished for work and helping [livejournal.com profile] stsquad with the stripping[1], and the long long drive, I didn't arrive until 9pm - by which time it was too late (and the ground was too wet) to put up [livejournal.com profile] maddam's tent. In which I was supposed to be sleeping. Luckily I managed to secure temporary space in somebody else's tent, went IC for a couple of hours then crashed out. I was not molested at all during the night, which was slightly disappointing.

Satuday was great fun, as the various developments in the Kamakuran political scene slowly filtered through. Blossom is still unsure how to proceed; he's quite easily led and his goals varied wildly depending on who he was talkig to at any given moment.

Spent most of my time with the lovely Cardini family, into whom I appear to have insinuated myself following the devastation of my original group. (Parallels with Omega are to be noted.) High point, I think, was the evening meal, at which many tales were related and jokes were made. Blossom considers the Cardini to be very much Kamakuran in spirit but much more fun to be around; he may begin to acquire certain of their traits before long (though I've yet to decide exactly what).

[livejournal.com profile] bacony in particular may be interested to learn how much she is continuing to drive events forward without even being there. It takes a rare talent.

Plastering self in make-up is still annoying, particularly on the Friday night when I only had a few hours to play with - I must generate a secondary human character for such an eventuality. (I do have one, but he's a Kamakuran servant created specifically to lend a hand to the other servants, which is rather a moot point now.) I am toying with the idea of making him an artist, which would at least give me something to do...

That is all I can think of to say on the subject for now. At least in a public forum.

[1] Wallpaper. Well, ceiling paper. Actually they don't call it paper any more, it's laminate covering. Or something.
