Best-laid plans

Headed over to Sheffield this morning (on the way home from Ilkley to Manchester), because there was a "Reenactment Fair" there. Usually this guarantees a certain amount of reasonably-priced authentic-looking period costume and props for sale, but sadly this time there were none in evidence. Still, it was of at least passing interest, and we saw some men in leather skirts with shiny helmets, so it wasn't all bad.
Felt slightly guilty about not heading straight home, since
stsquad had mooted today as a potential for stripping the wallpaper from the large spare room (the one I'll be moving into once the walls have been (a) repaired and (b) redecorated). However it turns out he's actually decided that it would be more fun to go to a barbecue chez
moridae. Thus I am off to enjoy a meal in Bolton.
