I used to date this guy called Marc - he lived off me for months and even when he had a job he treated my home like a hotel. I got sick very very quickly and it has made me somewhat harsh in my work ethic.
As long as you can support yourself as a gentleman of leisure - ie live of royalties, I suppose it's up to you.
I was actually referring to the French lot. Just realised I have the wrong period in history - I meant the revolutionaries. Close enough. It's Friday. grr.
After some discussion I think my ideal situation would be somewhere between the two extremes. I wouldn't want to be waited on hand-and-foot, but neither would I wish to be solely responsible for the housework. I would try to make some small contribution to household expenses by way of illustration.
Maybe I'd even try my hand at acting or writing ... all those careers that I've always rather fancied but considered to be too much of a gamble.
Don't suppose Marc had a nick-name Shep...? Sounds VERY much like my ex (except mine never got a job the whole time we went out! - and didn't do the house work (don't think he'd have known how) or anything AND I didn't always get the sex I wanted!) TUT TUT!
Got absolutly nothing against punctuation! Especially when used in excess!!! :D
Thought it'd be too much of a coincidink to have two Marcs (spelt with the "c") to be that lazy... But then didn't know where about "wiserabbit" lives and with LJ you could have been anyone anywhere! :P
Ed seems to have a good judge of character... Yup... Think we probably would! *hugs*
If you're available in the Newcastle area next Wed, I'm meeting Ed in Trill's at about 7pm - you'd be very welcome!
*Looks back and realises that she seems to excessivly punctuate things anyway!*

Far too much punctuation in that post.
