Every so often, I check out the revised Fear Forecast that appears after the Doctor Who episode is broadcast.  Looks like even 10-year-olds have spotted Bad Wolf.  This was never meant to be a secret secret.

The right word, in the right broadcast, repeated often enough, can destabilise an economy, invent an enemy, change a vote...

Y'know, I'm coming late to the "Bad Wolf" stuff, but isn't Sylvester McCoy's final big opponent in "The Wolves of Fenris" called ... "Fenris". The ultimate "Bad Wold"? And don't we hear the Doctor comment on how this powerful force has been setting things up subtly through the whole season to that point ("As soon as I saw the chess set in Lady Painforte's study I knew it was you" or something like that). I could be misremembering.

It wasn't the final story - that was Survival. Aside from which, I don't think the "Big Bad" (to borrow a strangely appropriate Buffy phrase) is going to be anything from established Who mythos. RTD has been pretty firm about keeping the series accessible to newcomers.

I didn't spot a Bad Wolf in this week's episode, but I'm sure one will emerge before long.
