Friday night: Nook's place for Orpheus. Sleeping over so that I can get wasted. Yes, alcohol is addictive.
Saturday: I plan to do some shopping - see below. Then I will return to my own house for a viewing of Chad's extended Two Towers. (Wanted to turn that into a gag, really I did, but it's just too hard.)
Sunday: No plans as yet.
Onanism as and when.
Shopping:
I still have 30 pounds left over from my birthday money - I may buy the Back to the Future or Indiana Jones trilogies. Or possibly both, using some of my own money, because I am wealthy. Though I probably shouldn't following the many and varied car expenses of last month. (600 pounds to buy Raj, then 400 to fix him up ... plus the towing bill from the AA, which has not yet arrived.)
I'm not sure I want to buy Indiana Jones. It's clearly something I want - I look at the box and drool - but then I say to myself "Why do you want this? When was the last time you thought to yourself, I should own the Indiana Jones trilogy? When was the last time you actually took somebody up on the offer of a viewing?" I think it's just something that I think I should own and I'm not certain that's reason enough. This is also the reason I don't own any Star Wars films, though I tell myself I'm waiting for them to come out on DVD.
The first portion of my birthday money went on the Hulk and a box set of XMen 1.5/2. Partly because Nook rang me up on Tuesday to tell me he'd bought Hulk and X2, and was watching them without me so ner. Also because I love all three films. Though Hulk was very slow and talky, but that's to be expected from the director of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

Date: 2003-11-20 07:56 am (UTC)Xmen2 is also highly enjoyable and I liked the first Xmen film also.
Hurray for Friday! I am coming along also now. I will also bring booze. And your present. Not your temporary present but your real present. See you then :-)

Date: 2003-11-21 01:28 am (UTC)Interestingly, the UK version has a completely different cover (I think maybe they wanted to emphasise the ensemble cast over Wolverine?) and lacks the "X-Men United" subtitle. Also is called "X-Men 2" instead of "X2".
