A new Hitchhiker trailer is up at UGO (which I'm reliably informed is nothing to do with the collectable card game of similar name).
Fry is excellent. I'm actually not too happy about Alan Rickman, entertaining though he is, because he's not Marvin. There's absolutely no reason in the world why they couldn't have dug up the actor who's played the part in every other incarnation of the story. Why mess with perfection?

Date: 2005-02-27 05:22 pm (UTC)I think you meant to link to Stephen Moore (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0601891/) for Marvin definitiveness, rather than David Lerner, who was just inside the costume for the telly version.
Moore does have a cameo as the Magrathea hologram (filmed in 3D, fact fans) in the movie, but you're quite right. He should have been Marvin.
I'm more concerned about Stephen Fry as the Book, really. If you hear Peter Jones, you think "That is the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". If you hear Fry, you think "That is Stephen Fry." Someone distinctive but unknown would got my vote. But, as with Rickman, if it gets people into the cinema, I'll cope.
Anyway, there's a big version of the new trailer here (http://www.totta.nu/guiden/default.aspx?pageid=58). (Second one down, avoid the 'UK trailer' it's a slightly more rubbish one along the same lines)
