Five more cards. I am noticing that the cards with areas of black are more pleasing to the eye. This is why I am not an inker.

The Ace Of Turtles...

Aces are also beginnings, so the Ace of Turtles can also be a very slow and steady beginning of whatever it is decided that the Turtles govern.

Same with the Ace of Triangles — the beginning of a journey into the land of three-sided pointy things.

I remembered that soon after drawing the Ace of Hats. I do not think I have properly reflected it, except perhaps in a numerical sense ... on the other hand this is not intended to be entirely serious.

I've always wondered if there's any correspondence in the other number cards, like Threes are about personal growth or whatever, but I've not found a guide that describes things in that way (first going through the suits, then face values, then finally the combined results). On the other hand I've never really researched it in any actual depth.

Maybe it will appear in a future volume of Mr Alan Moore's Promethea (I think he's slipped in the occasional reference - such as "Four is the number of solidity because it's the fewest number of points with which you can create a three-dimensional object, being a pyramid", but hasn't done it in any great depth). At which point I shall tut and say Mr Moore, get back to the story.

Offhand, the only reference I remember is from here: "Each Ace represents the qualities of its suit in their purest form."

Their general explanation is a good start, but what I remember from one source is that Ace through Ten of each suit have parallels to the first ten "Trumps" or Major Arcana of the standard tarot (Magician, High Priestess, etc.) and represent a journey from the beginnings of the idea in the suit to their logical conclusion.

I used the generalities in the "overall" column here to construct a few ideas, but I forget where I nicked them.
