Coming to America

I'm in Newark!

I have about six hours to fill here before connecting flight to Nawlins. I would spend this time internetting, but I am not made of money you know.

I did get searched by a large black man upon entering America. He was very polite, and kept insisting that it was a random search, but I strongly suspect they flagged me because I am a six foot white man with only carry-on luggage who had flown across the Atlantic for a two-day stay. This did not involve any nudity but I did have to turn out my pockets.

Off now! I have a sudden urge to spend lots of time reading and doing Sudoku.

I am still in Newark!

Apparently in the United States they have not heard of this thing called "rain" so when it comes they start cancelling their airplanes on account of slippery runways or something. My plane to Nawlins was the last one of the evening, so my 6 hour stopover has turned into something like 18. Possibly more.

The actual best case scenario at this point is that I get into Nawlins at 2pm, 23 hours before I have to be back at the airport to go home.

I AM REALLY HAPPY!
