I didn't really like the Umbro role, it was very Flash-heavy and it sounded like I would be the only guy on the job. I'm quite sure they will find somebody more suitable.
Tickle haven't got back to me, and seeing as they said they'd ring the next day for a chat with the MD I don't think it looks good. Unfortunately I've gone and lost the agency's contact details ... I still have the bloke's business card so I could contact them directly but it's after 5 now. Maybe tomorrow.
JoJaffa are more promising, they've still got some people to see but apparently the feedback was nothing but positive. I will hear more tomorrow (hopefully).
I also have a possibility of a contract-to-permanent job with the Co-operative Group (CFS), which is why I've been hurrying along the other agencies - it would be to start on Monday, so it would be better all round if I knew before then. Still, being a contract I'd feel less bad about leaving for another job within the first three months. It is less money than I'm used to but the possibility of being in work
next week is hard to turn down. And, of course, with the Coop you get free lunches, which would probably make up for the pay cut. I think right at the moment the CFS and JoJaffa jobs are more or less level pegging in the "I would like it" stakes.
In other news: I will likely be doing art of some kind for some
Odyssey promotional literature. This will be for little to no recompense, but exposure is always good, and there may conceivably be fringe benefits. Preliminary sketches may be found
here.
Now I away to Manchester to play Adventure!. Hurrah!
