Heard on the Radio One this morning:

BLINDED BY THE SUN LIGHTS by The Streets - By use of keen observation and dilligently-produced trance backing track, FrankMike Skinner successfully recreates all the emotional trauma of a horrible nightclub experience. By which I mean, I just don't get it.

DON'T STOP by The Beautiful South - more than made up for The Streets, it is a cover of an old track by The S Club 7s inna mellow Jazz stylee. Nice. It has been noted that I am a fan of dreadful punk covers; this is not entirely accurate, what I favour is unusual covers of familiar songs.

These are my beliefs. I appreciate that they are WRONG JUST WRONG, but unlike some people I would rather die for my beliefs than kill for them.

EDITED TO ADD: Today's Scary Go Round seems strangely relevant, but I can't quite pin it down.

Windscreen repair kit did not have a great deal of effect.  Will have to take a ruler to it, see if it is under the 10mm crack limit.  May ring windscreen people to see how much it would cost to replace the whole damn thing.

A few weeks ago I noticed that I tend to try to get the last word in a conversation; when disengaging, there's usually a certain amount of back and forth ("See you then, then - So long - b'bye"), and I'd been going to some length to claim the last farewell.  If somebody says something, I just have to respond to it, and that's something I've been doing in LJ as well.  So I've been trying to do it less, both LJ and RL.  It is quite difficult.  I just thought I'd mention, in case people think I haven't been very polite lately.  Since that is why I do it, after all - I instinctively consider it quite rude not to acknowledge somebody's communication.  Or something.

I am sure great psychological studies have been made on the subject of conversational behaviour such as this.  I am unaware of any of their conclusions.
