We are not a couple
Dec. 2nd, 2004 11:11 pmMy first full week in Manchester since the Summer involved not a single night in my own bed; each night I found myself in Bolton so availed myself of
gowhonker's spare bed (see subject line). Sunday was drinking, Monday was the Bolton Monday Meal, Tuesday was Runequest and Wednesday was Babylon 5. (I could have driven home after B5 since I hadn't been drinking and didn't have work in the morning, but then I would have missed slouching around Manchester with Nook today.) Most days were spent copiously enjoying Neverwinter Nights; today's trip into Manc marked my entry into the world of the "Vs" trading card game. I would like to pretend my plan is to cause these two conflicting addictions to cancel each other out, but I really didn't put that much thought into it.
Also picked up another Sk8er Rock compilation; seems to be of similarly high standard as the first. Nook scratched his head as to how some of these songs are considered "Sk8er". I share his confusion, as the selections appear to cover genres as divers as Cheese Pop, Hip Hop and Goth Rock. Assonance aside, I don't think that'll fly. Still, largely an entertaining crop.
Entirely unrelated: Separated at birth?
