Nov. 15th, 2004 09:34 pmHeadlights behave very oddly. A bit jittery until I actually start the enjin, then it's fine - until I actually turn them all the way off, when they won't come on again. I'll just have to remember not to turn the lights off until I want them off, I suppose.

Date: 2004-11-15 03:00 pm (UTC)I have experimented with it while stationary. Once they're on and the motor's running they're fine unless I switch them all the way off; I can switch it back and forth between dip and side lights until the cows come home.
To recap. When I had it looked at a couple of weekends ago the AA man thought it was the Dip Beam Relay, then later the electrician fixed the relay (with a Cold Solder, which is probably not as interesting as it sounds) and said the problem was in fact in the light stem. Which would require purchase of a £130 steering assembly from Honda ... I will try and get one second hand and get it fitted somehow, but it's not something that will be fixed before morning (or even evening).
