New series ident revealed.

Hmm.  Owes more than a little to Farscape, but there are worse leads to take.

I imagine BBC Cult will be annoyed, they just finished rebranding the site with the old typeface...

If the new series of Dr. Who is as good as Farscape though, I'll be impressed.

Comparing the two logos, the Farscape typeface is a little more top-heavy and emphasises the vertical (the only common character is the R, which - on Farscape - has more of a downward kink to the right leg, and meets the vertical line somewhat below midway). In fact I'd be surprised if that was a custom typeface at all, I half suspect it's something straight out of the Adobe type library.
