Is it wrong to have an in-depth discussion about what underwear the Street Fighter 2 characters wore?  If so, ed_fortune is a bad man.

Ryu - goes commando
Ken - tighty-whities (Y-fronts)
Guile - regulation army boxers (see Levis Jeans launderette commercial)
Vega - thong, possibly posing pouch (gold)
Zangiev - Jock strap (shudder)
M Bison - cricket box / athletic cup
Dahlsim - loin cloth
E Honda - whatever Sumo usually wear under there
Chun Li - slinky little silk two-piece, no frills, pure class
Cammie - Union Jack knicks

I know Cammie did not appear till later in the series, but Ed insisted.  And underwear discussions are probably not the place to worry overmuch about continuity.

That's called an 'Athletic Cup' in the US, since it's used for more than one sport.
