I've been eager for a Green Lantern movie for a while, because I think the modern special effects shops could do an excellent go of it.  (Think of certain scenes in The Matrix, and tell me we can't do green-hued energy constructs yet.)  Obviously it would be somewhat big budget (if it was done well), but it has potential to be SO DAMN GOOD.

However, it turns out that Warner Brothers - in their infinite wisdom - have decided to drop the word "good" in favour of the words "ZANY" and "COMEDY".  Dear sweet Jesus fuck.

No, it definitely is not cool.

Apparently DC are fuming, but have no choice but to bow to their corporate overlords.

Like the AIC reporter, I do like Jack Black, but he is no Green Lantern.

Why do the cut&pastes keep rendering funny oh HTML god?

Cut&pastes? You mean when you try to put one of those form-based meme results into an LJ comment? It's to do with how LJ processes comments - I think it deletes form elements or something so as not to allow freaky sneaky code things.

Unless you're talking about something else?

Every time I cut and paste the meme results into LJ comments the form fields get emptied and the drop downs become flat text. I was wondering its possible to stop it doing that, 'cause it works if you post it into the main entry.

Yeah, I think that's LJ's intentional preprocessing rather than any kind of HTML glitch.

Yeah, it's just completely gone, it's not even in the source code.

What you could do is go through the C&P code and delete the Form code surrounding the values... change "<input type="text" value="blablabla">" to "blablabla" or whatever.
