The Night Before
Jul. 7th, 2004 10:28 amLast night was an entertaining game of D&D, though there was an unfortunate amount of sitting around.
ghostbritain decided, since
pkgem was away from the rest of the party and the two of them turned up at
samharber's a good half hour before anyone else, the best course of action was to wait until everyone else arrived and then take her off into a room and roleplay with her for an hour. Then the rest of us had our turn, which meant Gem was sitting around for about two hours. Still, it was a lot of fun, we killed lots of dragon hatchlings that were too weak for us to get XP for, then Nook dumped a shedload of XP on us anyway because he likes our faces.
Missed
arwel, particularly on the drive home. We never exactly had extensive conversation on that drive - what with him being drunken and all - but it was nice to have him there to talk at if I wanted. Hmm, the thought occurs that since I don't have to drive anybody home and my bed at Alex's is a sofa-bed anyway, I may as well sleep over at Nook's on Tuesday nights, like I used to in days gone by. This has the added benefit of potential alcohol consumption. Will have to consult with Nook on the matter.
I was composing something about wedding invites, but then I realised I was calculating it to make people feel bad, which rather goes against Monday's stated goals. Instead I'll just mention my vague curiousity about whether there's one out there for me somewhere, and leave it at that.

Sitting around
Date: 2004-07-07 05:29 am (UTC)Also, he spent most of our "private" roleplaying session (when I was separated from the party) having a shit. He was GMing through the closed toilet door. He'd only just emerged when Sam went for a piss. We did then roleplay a little further but emotional scenes of rescuing small children who are my character's "hope for the future" are best not done through wooden barrier where you cannot see facial expressions.
Also, I dodn't mind sitting having "nothing to do" for the rest of the evening as I knew I'd be back with you all soon and I can keep myself entertained reading source books.
However, I promise not to run off again. After all, Shiva missed Thuan terribly. Oh, yeah and the rest of the party ;-)
