Mixed Blessings

kingandyYesterday day was not so hot. I was planning to move the remainder of my crap over to ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
stsquad's. In the end I managed to move my clothes and a big bag of LRP kit. I am so bad. I spent three hours trying to get all my assorted crap into one big box, which apparently used to be a wardrobe or something because the side hinges open for some reason. I've fastened it with gaffer tape but I suspect the whole thing is doomed to failure because the tape has already unfastened itself. And anyway, it seems the box (now full) cannot actually support its own weight. Need more, smaller boxes. We still have all the accumulated detritus from my room, and a massive pile of fabric in the front room (some of it kit, some of it actual fabric). Argh.
Well, I still have time to move some crap over to Alex's and/or Mum's houses - assuming the landlady wasn't lying when she spoke tobacony we have until the 4th of July (IIRC?), which is next Sunday. We also have to clean the house, so I'll spend a weeknight getting stuff over to Alex's and drop things at Mum's at every opportunity. Should be easy, all I need is a crapload of tiny boxes...
The evening went much better. Went over to the Picadilly Tavern, where people had congregated to hang out with the visitingkmazzy before she and myki went off to see Nelly Furtado ("You say potato, I say..."). Saw many lovely, lovely people, including lord_blipvert, renniek, samharber, redhillian, ephrael, maddam, Manga John, Dave Macleod (both XLJ) and of course psion_x, around whom I spent much of the evening wrapped. It was a good evening. In fact it was an evening of much love - I don't think my tongue has been in so many people's mouths in a single night before. I now have to recalculate my LJ slut stats.
High points of the evening weremaddam telling me what good adventures I wrote (though I considered myself a talentless hack), and Manga explaining how I "helped him find his place in the world" - apparently by the twin virtues of (a) being god damn sexy enough to turn this (apparently) otherwise straight boy's head, and (b) not being a cunt about it. Or something. Whatever the case, his drunken ramblings impressed upon me that (i) I'd made a distinct and positive impact in somebody's life and (ii) I was god damn sexy. Which is always nice to be told. Also enjoyable was being fondled by MJ and Gareth at the same time.
Today: Went to Bolton, had picnic. There is little to compare with the simple pleasures in life, like lying on the grass, in the sunlight, with your head on one man's chest and someone else's on yours. Adjourned to pub. Much banter and conversation. Then went to park, had sequel picnic. Many people were there but I can't be bothered. I love them all. Thenmyki left his sweeties in my car, they are delicious. PS I also have your cheap pic-a-nic basket.
