On cowboys: The costume started out as primitive leather armour (a sort of tabard and hood combo), then I bought the hat because it looked cool and wasn't entirely anachronistic and I was trying to be brave and not care what anyone thought. Then I bought a coat to keep me warm. None of the elements individually looked too out of place, it's just when I wore it all together that I thought it turned into a little bit Clint Eastwood. I'm still not sure if anyone else even cared, but I was constantly afeared of people badmouthing me behind my back. The full version of that pic can be seen here in all its glory.
