Heh. I'm starting to feel vaguely dissatisfied with the amount of magic stuff I'm carrying about ... but, you know, Uthgar doesn't forbid use of magic, just teaches that it is effete and self-indulgent and reliance on it is an evil ... I tell myself I'm not relying on it, I'm taking advantage of it. Acquisition of magic items has never been my goal, they just get thrust upon me.
The problem is that D&D progression assumes you're acquiring items ... and when they're waved in my face I can't bring myself to turn them down. My precious.
I think ideally I'd like to take one of those prestige classes that forbids using actual magic items but gives you snackies instead (better stats or something), can't remember where it was. Possibly a paperback book, like "Tome and Blood" or "Sword and Fist" or something. May have been one of the Exalted Deeds vows, possibly. It would be cool, though...
