1. Hooray for Hellboy!

2. Heard an interesting story on Radio 1 Newsbeat this morning; apparently a survey revealed that some people believe Hitler is a fictional character, and others think that the battles of Helm's Deep and Endor (!) were real. They didn't give actual figures, and I've been unable to find the source article, but it's still appalling that even one person would think that. Hopefully they were taking the piss.

[UPDATE: Found, sort of ... while this isn't the actual report (or the actual survey, either), the Results page has more details on the findings of the survey.]

3. Comedy Goldmine! (courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] jewelstar93) My favourites are BRAINS, STUPID TENT and MAGENTA ALERT. MOTHRA AIRSTRIKE gets points for trying, and I cannot move on without making mention of the ACE of BASE. Lifetime Achievement award: the THREE of DRUNKEN BITCHES.

2. The survey covered only one family in inner salford, who only watch sky.

Obviously the people they interviewed never went/ go to school. Morons. Unless they are joking but somehow I fear not.

Snethnic. I liked "Queen of Lame Gifts", "Stupid Tent", "Its Good To Be King" and "Brains" (nicely topical). I was also amused by the relative subtlety of "Gay Marriage" But I laughed out loud at "The Incompetent Seeing Eye Dog" and "3 of Drunken Bitches" Has Alan Moore seen these? Will he incorporate them into the Grimoires?

IX/XI (being the first joke of its kind in the batch) caught me off guard; BRAINS. is an instant classic; and DRAW FOUR winz just because I grew up with Uno cards. Hell, a lot of the damn cards worked for me. Hell damn.

I didn't catch the joke on THE STAR until the second read-through though, so it's managed to become "mildly amusing". And a Babar card, hooray!

Le Roi linked those to me last night. I haven't laughed so hard for a long time.
