Who are you? What do you want?

Further to my last post. (If you haven't read it yet, go and do so.)
I do, in fact, already have some ideas about Terry; who he is, how he came to be, and why he was hurrying after the Doctor in the first place. But I'm suddenly struck with a powerful curiosity about what other people conjure up when they are given very little information about a character. So, tell me about your Terry.
What does Terry look like? How tall is he, what colour is his hair? How does he wear it?
How old is he?
What style of dress does he favour?
Where does he come from?
What does he do of an evening?
What does he do during the day?
If you like, you can tell me how he met the Doctor and what was chasing them. And for bonus points, tell me which Doctor this is (and which TARDIS).

Date: 2010-05-06 04:50 pm (UTC)His hair is blond, and in a buzz-cut.
He dresses like an 80s New Romantic, but that is because he was previously at a costume party in the year 2050 when The Doctor met him.
He is Scottish, but has lived in London for most of his teenage life. He has lost his accent (though by 2050 British accents are even more homogonous than now). His family are council trash miners. Trash miners dig up landfill to get at valuable resources such as plastics and metals. Normally most of this valuable resource comes from former third-world countries, but Britain has started to tap it's own resources.
Terry is a fan of all things old, and of sci-fi. He is 'genre savvy', often thinking of absurd things that wouldn't occour to The Doctor. Sometimes that serves them well, sometimes poorly.

His family found a pair of 'doc martins' during the course of their work, cleaned them and gave them to him. This is normally against company policy, but they broke the rules for their son.
Unfortunately the shoes were remnants of the Nestene consciousness.
He had removed them during the party, and ended up being chased by his own footware.
He ran, barefoot, to his folk's workplace, where The Doctor was disposing of a problem of his own in the furnace. While both of them had a good plan, neither counted on the other being there.
So the pair ended up being chased by a Plastic Cyberman.
It is the 8th Doctor.
Intersetingly he is a relative of Harriet Jones. During the day his is in college studying "Art and Literature of the 1970s". In the evenings he enjoys Kendo and Karate. He spends much of the rest of his time on the internet arguing about various subjects ranging from Napoleonic era uniforms to who would win if Old Starbuck fought Kira Thrace Starbuck.

Date: 2010-05-06 05:16 pm (UTC)He's in some sort of jumpsuit/flightsuit affair.
He's from the late 21st century, sometime after the Bowie Base One Disaster. He's smart, but not as smart as he thinks he is.
He works for an independant science or space research during the day. In the evening he's probably an excellent cook. He may be a spy.
Oh, and either 4th Doctor with the wooden console room or 8th doctor with the bats.
