Who? What?

BBCi is being obtuse and mys-teer-i-ous, making almost nonexistent yet somehow enticing references to current developments in Who. It's intriguing because the BBCi Who team are clearly big Who fans themselves, and wouldn't use words like "Terribly Exciting" lightly. My fanboy brain leaps to the obvious conclusion that the new TV series may have secured REG as 9doc after all... probably entirely wrong, but wouldn't it be nice?

I find the BBCi situation interesting. I had always assumed that, being part of the BBC megacorporation, they would be keyed in on all the latest info and inside tracks. One would think they'd get all the scoops and exclusives. It would seem, however, that they are a discrete entity, at least inasmuchas the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing until it makes an official press release, and often have to report second-hand information ("SFX reports..."). They're basically a fansite with BBC spending power behind them, and only occasionally get whispers from upstairs when it pertains directly to what they're doing (such as the webcasts). It makes sense for their Buffy/Angel or Farscape minisites to operate like that, but it seems odd for an in-house production.

People keep approaching me to do artwork, which is nice. I will soon have to maintain a list in order that nobody gets forgotten.

Additional: I arer Malathian!

Additional additional: Support has arrived for my Maelstrom concept, so I'm trying to pick a name via Jeffrey's Japanese/English Dictionary - long story short, I need a tree-related name in a Kamakura stylee. I am currently fighting the urge to be called Miki, love. It does work on several layers, but it would be perhaps too silly... Sakaki, Kaju and Hananoki also sound cool.

Hey Miki!

I don't see your point seeing as it was sung by a woman called Tony.
