Did I mention my xBox arrived? My xBox arrived.

I am currently experimenting with the ethernet connection to the PC; it asked to install an update and holy shit! The interface has entirely changed (from old to new).

I kind of like the new interface, though it's very much like the PS3 menu turned on its side. Also the network thing now does not appear to be working. I might keep you posted.

EDIT: Okay, after downloading updates and restarting like six times, I can finally stream media from my PC and play it on my TV, yay! Unfortunately it only appears to share media that is inside my My Documents folder, which makes a mockery of the whole notion of a "media drive" (where I put all my videos so they are not taking up room on my main drive). I suppose I could live with copying stuff onto C: whenever I want to watch them on the TV, but surely there must be a better way.

Hmm, I wonder if it'll play those Doctor Who CDs now it's got the updated codecs and such like...

EDIT: Some of them. And now, to bed.

Depending on what you're using to share your movies, you should be able to share something on a separate drive. If you're using Windows Media Connect, in theory you could just select whatever folder on the other drive your videos are in and share that. If you're using WMP11, you should be able to add them to your library and they'll get shared that way.

Or you could set Windows to use a different folder on a different drive as the "Documents" folder.
