Date: 2008-12-02 10:44 am (UTC)No, I'm not saying they are idiots, but to people passing by who know nothing of their heartwarming tale they still look like idiots. And if you're going to look like an idiot it may as well be in somebody's memory.
And that doesn't explain the many bright displays of fairylights that went up all over the area weeks ago.
(Or maybe it does? Maybe it encourages them - or knowing nothing of the tale, they think the family in question is trying to get one up on them, and rush to compete.)
